The Haleakala Waldorf School in upcountry Maui recently held their annual May Day Festival, otherwise known as Lei Day, The school community gathered to present one of of my favorite events that always touches my heart. Being around families, students, and teachers, witnessing everyone contributing in their own way, was a good example of what kōkua really looks like in everyday life. It’s not anything complicated. The “value” means showing up, helping where you can, and being a part of something shared.

That idea carries into this time of year as things begin to move a little faster. May tends to bring a full schedule, more activity, and for many, a sense that decisions are starting to come into focus. In real estate, I see how much smoother things feel when there’s a spirit of cooperation—clear communication, steady guidance, and people working together toward the same goal.
