Seeking a balance between work and fun, I recently went on vacation to a surf resort. After six straight days of surfing, eating, napping and massages, I came back home, refreshed and ready to jump back into it. Before the trip I was sensing a feeling of burnout. The contrast between the moments before and after the trip was tremendous.

Intuition vs. Impulse
This article really resonates with me. Just recently, I hiked through a bamboo forest and came upon this amazing waterfall which was inviting me to swim. There was a concern about the potential danger so I had a push/pull moment between the impulse of just jumping in versus taking a moment to assess the situation before taking the risk.
